Forza Horizon 5 Gets Two Free Barbie-Themed Vehicles

Forza Horizon 5 Barbie

Forza Horizon 5 is the latest property to cross over with the Barbie movie, adding two free Barbie vehicles to the open-world racer.

We’re a little disappointed that these are “real” world style vehicles, they don’t resemble the battered plastic vehicles you sometimes find in charity shops. But if you’re a Barbie fan or if you’re looking forward to the Barbie movie, it could be worth taking these Forza Horizon 5 vehicles for a spin.

There are two vehicles on offer, Barbie’s 1956 Chevrolet Corvette EV Corvette and Ken’s 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup. Both are available in-game now and there’s no mention of them being retired at any point, so this isn’t just a limited time thing.

Microsoft has also whipped up a ridiculous special edition Xbox Series S, built to resemble Barbie’s mansion. You’re going to have to enter a competition to win it, however. Details will be released later, with the competition beginning this July 10th.

With the Barbie movie coming out this July 21st, there are sorts of promotions going on. You can AirBnB a Barbie Dream House in Malibu, buy Barbie luggage and more. Even if you’re going to watch the movie it’s still kind of fun to see the whole campaign take root.

Well, most of the time.. we did a double take at this pink Barbie bench. The back shows Ryan Gosling’s Ken reclining, something that you can’t do on the actual bench. We’re not sure how many of these benches got painted pink. But this one’s hostile design elements certainly had us raising our eyebrows.

If you do fancy that Barbie Xbox Series S, keep an eye on the official Xbox Twitter account here. And if you’ve not got Forza Horizon 5, it’s on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also available via Game Pass.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
