Amnesia: The Bunker locks you in a WWII bunker with monster. Unsurprisingly, you’ll die a lot. But how do you save so that you don’t lose a lot of progress?
Amnesia: The Bunker’s save system is a little different from other Amnesia titles. Given that the game is more open than previous entries that makes a lot of sense. So just how do you save your game in Amnesia: The Bunker? Here’s how.
To save your game in Amnesia: The Bunker, you need to light the lamp in Administration. If you’re playing on Easy difficulty you may well run into other save points but the Administration lamp is the singular save point on Normal Difficulty and above.
Hang on… doesn’t the game autosave? Mostly, no. There are few points that happens – for example, if you exit the game early on, without using a lamp, you’ll begin in the Bunker. You won’t have to redo the trench areas.
But we recommend you don’t Quit to Desktop until you’ve lit that lamp. Yes, we did that, idiotically assuming it would have autosave and we had to redo a chunk of the game. So to save in Amnesia: The Bunker you use the lamp in Administration.
