My Time at Sandrock Leaves Early Access This September

My Time at Sandrock

Want to save a desert town from economic ruin? My Time at Sandrock, coming this September, lets you do just that.

A sequel of sorts to My Time At Portia, My Time at Sandrock has been in Steam Early Access since May 2022. Developer Pathea has been adding more and more content and now they’re ready to unleash the final version of the gaming public.

Even in its Steam Early Access state it’s a lot of fun. We went hands on with it shortly after its release, remarking that it was “..shaping up to be a must-play for adventurers.” Yes, you can’t just sit on your bottom, you’ve got to get out there and put the work in. Monster slaying? Machine-making? It’s all part of saving Sandrock.

You can also share the fun with other players, in a special multiplayer mode that takes place before the single-player campaign. We’re sure that always goes smoothly with no raised voices or hurling of joypads.

My Time at Sandrock is set to arrive on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One this September 26th. It will launch with multiplayer on PC, however multiplayer won’t be available on consoles right away. Instead, it’ll be added as a free update, a little down the line.

In the meantime, you can pick up the Early Access version on PC. It’ll be updated to the full version this September, with a free in-game item as a bonus. Or if you want to dabble in My Time at Portia, Pathea’s previous town-assisting adventure, it’s currently on Game Pass.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
