Paw Patrol World has been announced and, frankly, we’re disappointed.
It’s not that we aren’t going to play the hell out of this, we absolutely are. No, we’re not the target audience but the prospect of an open-world Paw Patrol game, based on the childrens’ TV series, has us grinning. But come on.. Paw Patrol World? When Grand Theft Pawto is right there?
Still, with the game not arriving till September that should be enough time for us to forgive developer Outright Games for that shocking oversight. And going, by the trailer, it looks as if it could be a lot of fun. And yes, we’re absolutely going to try and do terrible things in it.
According to Outright, there’ll be eight playable pups: “Chase, Skye, Marshall, Rubble, Rocky and Zuma as well as fan favourites Tracker and Everest”. Do we know which pup is which? Honestly no. But we’re still confused by Ant and Dec.
There’s a trailer out which makes it seem like a lot of fun and showcases some of the activity. You can just wander around Adventure Bay, where Paw Patrol takes place, if that’s your thing. But there are other activities including racing, tow truck driving and much more.
We’re particularly glad to see that it features couch co-op. The split-screen feature seems like a great way for parents to play with their kids. Though try not to get too upset when your four-year old absolutely annihilates you.
Paw Patrol World is set for a September 24th release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox X|S and Steam. And in the meantime, why not check out our list of the Best Games for Kids on PS4?
