Want to catch up with what Nintendo’s up to? Then tune in today’s Nintendo Direct.
Nintendo has confirmed that we’ll get to see more of Pikmin 4, which is set for a July 21st release. However, there may also be a surprise or seven. According to the company the Direct will feature roughly 40 minutes of info, focusing mostly on Nintendo Switch games releasing later this year.
What the company hasn’t specified is whether those will be first party or third party titles. We’ve got our fingers crossed that Metroid Prime 4 will be coming this year. After all, it was only announced six years ago.
However, there’s a rumour doing the rounds that there’s another surprise in store. The rumour – which could turn out to be false – is that Nintendo will be revealing a new 2D Mario game. We’re definitely up for more side-on plumber shenanigans so we hope there’s some truth in that.
What do know is that given its 40 minute runtime there’s bound to be a substantial amount of information. February’s Nintendo Direct featured a few previously unseen titles, so it should well be worth tuning in.
You can watch the direct here, on YouTube. It’s taking place today at 3:00 PM BST / 7:00 AM PT. Or if you miss out, it should be archived after the fact.
