July might not seem like the time to wrap up. But cutesy adventure Scarf is making its console debut next month.
Scarf’s upcoming console sees your character attempting to return a sentient scarf to its mother. It may look fuzzy and wrap itself around your protagonist’s neck, but it’s actually a strange dragon-like beastie.
We had good things to say about Scarf when it hit the PC in 2021. And now it’s heading to console, as you pursue the sneaks who’ve stolen they keys to the Scarf’s world. Developer Uprising Studios and developer Handy Games boasts that you’ll “solve various increasingly complex puzzles, overcome daunting obstacles and discover gorgeous new places.”
But from our experience those puzzles are still solvable enough that Scarf is suitable for players of all ages. The scarf is more than neckwear, it’s instrumental in solving those puzzles and making your way around each gorgeous worlds. And if you put in a a little extra work there’s a second ending to be had.
It’s set to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S this July 6th. There’s no price as yet but we’d expect Scarf to be in the region of the PC version’s £12.49 launch price. And if you can’t wait, the PC version is currently 34% off on Steam, bringing it down to a bargainous £8.24.
