Blizzard is holding a Campfire Chat today which will address the controversial 1.1.0 Diablo 4 patch.
Okay, maybe ‘controversial’ is putting it a bit lightly. Players have not reacted well to the latest Diablo 4 patch which features some pretty notable nerfs. We rounded up the changes here, remarking that the “..update feels like a kick in the teeth for most players”.
That’s no exaggeration, it’s difficult to imagine how Blizzard actually thought these changes would go down well. And, shortly after the patch came out, Diablo 4’s Global Community Developer Director, Adam Fletcher announced today’s Campfire Chat.
The chat will “..discuss Patch 1.1.0 & Season of the Malignant”, and will feature Fletcher alongside designer Joe Shely and associate game director Joseph Piepiora. And we are absolutely grabbing the popcorn for this one.
It’s not just that, as Diablo 4 players, these changes have seriously impacted us. We’re just dying to see how the trio handle things. It’s possible that they’ll announce they’ve seen the error of their ways and are rolling the patch back until they can reassess things.
Possible? Yes. Likely? No. It’s far more likely they’ll talk about having listened to user feedback but only implement a few, trifling changes. We would be very, very surprised if Blizzard pulled a full 180 on this.
Join @JoeShely, @JPiepiora, and @PezRadar for a Campfire Chat to discuss Patch 1.1.0 & Season of the Malignant.
