Xbox Game Pass July 2023

This July, Grand Theft Auto V Races Back Onto Game Pass

This July, Grand Theft Auto V is back on Game Pass and it’ll have to serve to avoid hitting dinosaurs.

Rockstar’s open-world gem was part of Microsoft’s game subscription service but it left. Now, it’s back as part of July’s Game Pass offerings. Capcom’s co-op dinosaur game, Exoprimal, also joins Game Pass. Though, sadly, there’s dinosaurs-in-cars crossover.

Should you be excited for GTA V’s return? Yes, if you’ve got an Xbox Series X or S. This the first time that the next-gen version has been made available as part of Game Pass. So if you want to see the game at its prettiest and you don’t have a super-powerful PC, this’ll do the job nicely.

Exoprimal, Capcom’s man-vs-dinosaurs co-op game could also be fun. Us, we’ll be playing it but we’ll still be silently resenting that the company still hasn’t done anything with Dino Crisis. 20 years Capcom, it’s been 20 years since Dino Crisis 4 came out.

So what else is joining Game Pass this July? There’ll be a second wave of titles mid-month but for now, the following titles are on their way or, in the case of GTA V and Sword and Fairy, here already.

  • Grand Theft Auto V (Cloud and Console) – Out Now
  • Sword and Fairy: Together Forever (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Out Now
  • McPixel 3 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 6
  • Common’hood (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 11
  • Insurgency: Sandstorm (PC) – July 11
