You Can Watch the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 SDCC Panel Online

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Insomniac had a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 panel at this years San Diego Comic Con and now you can watch it online.

We mean officially, there’s a fair amount of SDCC mobile footage floating around. But the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 SDCC panel has been released without any of the wobbling or wonky sound. And if you’re eagerly anticipating Spider-Man 2, it’s absolutely worth a watch.

It featured the always-awesome Tony Todd as well as Creative Director Bryan Intihar, Game Director Ryan Smith, Narrative Director Jon Paquette,  Art Director Jacinda Chew and Yuri Lowenthal, Nadji Jeter and Laura Bailey who play Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Mary Jane Watson.

It also included Marvel Games VP & Creative Director Bill Rosemann. If you’re wondering what the heck Marvel Games is, they’re in charge of licensing out their characters and ensuring the game is on-message for Marvel. So if Insomniac had Venomised Peter Parker tearing off heads and drinking from their neck stumps, on-screen, he’d likely object.

The panel saw the release of the official story trailer, along with more details about the game’s story, which you can find here. In short, Miles and Peter are both going to be struggling. Peter is facing the prospect of losing Aunt May’s house and Miles is juggling being Spider-Man with applying for college.

The panel also features a very cool shot of Aunt May’s house which is a new addition. The new map, which adds the Queens district, is said to be roughly twice the size of the old one. And as for Tony Todd, Intibar had high praise for the actor. “Just let Tony be Tony and you get magic,” he remarked.

You can watch the 12 minute panel above and get your hands on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 when it lands on PlayStation 5 this October 20th.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
