The latest Alone in the Dark teaser trailer introduces us to The Dark Man. It also teases more information to come tomorrow.
Released today, the 38 second-long teaser sets the tone of upcoming horror game, Alone in the Dark. “The Dark Man is following you,” the trailer tells us. We only get a glimpse of him, but we’re told “don’t say his name”. “Learn more on 2nd August,” it ends with.
Hmm. What could we be finding out about Alone in the Dark tomorrow? It’s likely today’s teaser trailer is a prelude to a longer look at the game that’s coming tomorrow, 2nd August. But we’re also wondering if the game’s release date might have changed. Watch the teaser for yourself below:
Back in May, Alone in the Dark was given a release date of 25th October. But today’s new teaser, and the press release that accompanied it, make no mention of its release date. It’s possible it’s been changed – either postponed or even brought forward a little – and that’s what tomorrow’s announcement will be.
After all, there are a lot of games currently scheduled to release around the same time – Spider-Man 2 and the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection are just two games coming in the same week. So slightly adjusting the release date would make sense. But have we ever heard of a tease leading up to a delay? Quite possibly not.
We’re just guessing, though. There’s every chance Alone in the Dark is still scheduled to arrive on 25th October, and whatever is coming tomorrow is simply a new trailer. We’ll find out in 24 hours.
