Fancy jumping back to the year 1888 and heading out on a fantastical adventure through the mind of Jules Verne? Then Verne: The Shape of Fantasy might just be worth keeping on your radar.
Coming to PC on 14th August, Verne: The Shape of Fantasy is a “dystopian narrative adventure” set to take players underwater as they search for an ancient artefact. A war rages on through the nation, threatening to destroy the land of Hemera and, as Verne himself, players must solve puzzles as they explore in order to change the fate of the land.
Brought to life with beautiful pixel visuals, Verne: The Shape of Fantasy takes inspiration from classic adventure games of the 80s and 90s. Expect to scour environments, looking for useful items and to help you solve puzzles.
There’s a varied cast of characters to meet and, despite the fantastical settings of the game there’s also a level of historical accuracy to be found here. Fans of Jules Verne’s work are going to find a lot to like.
