We love a good video game crossover, and this upcoming one between escape room game Escape Simulator and Portal has us intrigued.
Out on September 7th, Portal Escape Chamber lets players return to the Aperture Science center with a Portal-themed escape room to work through. It’s approved by Valve, so while it’s not exactly Portal 3 it is official, and is bound to be a hit with any Portal fan. You’ll find plenty of familiar objects and themes as you try to break your way out of the Aperture lab. Best of all? It’s completely free.

That’s right: Portal Escape Chamber is free DLC for Escape Simulator, available to anyone who owns the base game. The trailer below shows the upcoming content in action:
Playable solo or in co-op, Escape Simulator is a puzzle game that simulates the joy of breaking free of an escape room. Every level is themed, with the base game including ‘Labyrinth of Egypt’ and ‘Adrift in Space’. A Room Editor allows players to build their own escape rooms, too, or play through rooms created by the community: there’s currently over 3,500 ready to jump into.
