If you’re a console player who likes the idea of setting off on a huge space adventure, you don’t have to wait for Starfield: Everspace 2 is available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S from today.
It launched on PC in Early Access back in 2021, but console players have had to wait a little longer for the release of Everspace 2. From Rockfish, this epic sci-fi RPG has been in development for over six years, and has been described by some as “Diablo in space”. While we’re not sure we’d agree with that entirely, it’s going to appeal to a similar player base: it’s an epic adventure packed with loot, missions, secrets to be found and perils to be overcome.
Best of all, if you’re on Xbox and subscribe to Game Pass, it’s included in your membership at no extra cost. It costs £44.99/$49.99 to buy.

Players on Xbox Series X and PS5 can look forward to a smooth 60FPS performance. On Xbox Series S, it’s limited to 30fps. On PS5, Everspace 2 makes great use of the DualSense controller’s functions, so you can look forward to haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and use of the built-in speaker.
If this sounds like your sort of thing, what are you waiting for? It’s available digitally right now, with a physical release scheduled to release on 3rd October.
