Ghostrunner 2 is Wall-Running to PC and Consoles This October

Ghostrunner 2

The sequel to the much-loved cyberpunk thriller, Ghostrunner, has a release date: Ghostrunner 2 is landing on 26th October.

Yes, October has just got a little busier. Ghostrunner 2 is set to release in the same month as Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2, Metal Gear Solid Collection, Alone in the Dark and a whole host of other games. Phew. God bless our bank balances and backlogs.

We’re very excited to play Ghostrunner 2, though. We loved the first game, scoring it an outstanding 9/10. It was one of our favourite games of the year back in 2020, saying it made us feel like we were starring in our own blockbuster action movie.

We expect the upcoming sequel will be just as action-packed – if not more so. The new trailer, which you can watch by clicking here, shows a fight between protagonist Jack and an AI cult, alongside a glimpse at vehicular combat on a brand new super-powered motorbike. It still sports the futuristic cyberpunk visuals that we loved Ghostrunner for and the same fast-paced, free-running katana action.

There will be three editions available of Ghostrunner 2: the physical and digital Base Edition, priced at £34.99; the Digital Deluxe Edition (£44.99) which includes additional hand and sword skins, and a personalised hand hologram; and the Digital Brutal Edition (£64.99) which includes all of the above, plus the Season Pass and 48 hours early access.

We’re excited to jump in. If you are, Ghostrunner 2 launches on 26th October (24th October if you have the Brutal Edition) on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
