Xbox has just revealed the first wave of games to land on Xbox in August, with six new titles coming to the service.
There’s nothing truly amazing landing on Xbox Game Pass in the first half of August, but it’s a solid selection of games indeed. From today, indie darling Celeste is available, offering an intense platforming experience for anyone up to the challenge.
It’s followed up by five more games which will trickle onto the service over the next two weeks. They are as follows:
- A Short Hike – 3rd August
- Broforce Forever – 8th August
- Limbo – 9th August
- Airborne Kingdom – 10th August
- Everspace 2 – 15th August
An oldie but a goodie, Limbo’s a bit of a staple indie experience. A dark and moody adventure, it’s paved the way for many other games in the years since it released. And so, if you’re yet to play it, now’s the time.
We can heartily recommend A Short Hike, too. An adorable mini-open world adventure, it’s all about exploring a picturesque mountain range, completing small challenges and finding hidden treasures on the way.
If you want something a bit meatier, Everspace 2 offers an epic space adventure – and it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, too.
Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass in August
As always, new games coming to Xbox means that some existing games are leaving the service. Thankfully, only four games are leaving this month. You’ve got until 15th August to play the following titles:
- Death Stranding (PC)
- Edge of Eternity (console and PC)
- Midnight Fight Express (console and PC)
- Total War: Warhammer III (PC)
