Armored Core VI review 3 (1)

Learn how to access multiplayer in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, allowing you to fight against players online.

Building mechs is fun in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, and so is using them to complete the game’s missions and Arena battles. But if you really want to show off your builds and your skills, chances are you’ll want to take the action online so you can fight against other human beings. So, how do you access multiplayer in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon?

Unfortunately, to access online multiplayer in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, you first need to play a substantial chunk of the game’s campaign. Keep plugging away at the story missions until you reach the end of chapter 2. Once chapter 3 starts, you’ll find that there’s a new option on your menu in the Garage: Nest.

While Nest is a strange name, it’s where you’ll need to go if you want to fight against others online. Select the Nest mode, and you’ll then be able to either create a custom game or search for a lobby. Both 1v1 and 3v3 match types are available. So, whether you want to fight alone or with some friends, family members and/or strangers by your side, you’re catered for.
