Originally set to release on PC and consoles today, WrestleQuest has been delayed at the last minute. It’s now due to arrive on 22nd August.
It’s such a last minute delay, in fact, that yesterday saw some WrestleQuest reviews go out into the wild. Around the time the game should have gone live, publisher Skybound Games posted a statement on social media stating an issue had been discovered at the eleventh hour.
“When performing final checks on one of our launch platforms, we discovered it was possible for players to lose their save game progress when playing WrestleQuest on multiple different devices,” the statement reads. “Because this is a game filled with hours of content and player progress is so important, we could never bodyslam our fans like that”.

It’s unfortunate to see any delay, but it sounds like Skybound Games has made the right decision in this case. And, if our preview is anything to go by, WrestleQuest will be worth the wait.
After playing the first few hours of the game, here’s what we had to say:
“When it launches next month, WrestleQuest is likely to enrapture those who have any love for what is dubbed as “sports entertainment”. Even RPG fans with a passing interesting in wrestling might find themselves enamoured with it too, thanks to its unique systems that make it a breath of fresh air in the genre. One thing’s for sure: there’s nothing else quite like it, and that alone should be enough to put in on radars.”
WrestleQuest will now release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC on 22nd August.
