How to Unlock Havik in Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 review

Find out how to unlock the gruesome Havik as a playable fighter in Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 has a roster of over 20 playable fighters from the outset, and while none of them are brand new, many haven’t been in a Mortal Kombat game for 15 years. When you start playing Mortal Kombat 1, however, there’s at least one character slot that’s greyed out. If Shang Tsung isn’t available, it’s because you haven’t purchased him and didn’t preorder the game. Havik, on the other hand, you need to unlock. So, how do you unlock Havik in Mortal Kombat 1?

Havik is a particularly gruesome fighter in Mortal Kombat 1, able to inflict horrific injuries on himself in order to combat his enemies thanks to his advanced healing. He might rip off an arm to hit an opponent with, for example, or separate his legs from his torso to allow him to perform a spinning attack. Needless to say, it makes him a lot of fun to play as.

To unlock Havik in Mortal Kombat 1, you simply need to play through the game’s story mode. There are 15 chapters all in all, and it will take most players around 6-8 hours to complete them all, earning various rewards as they go. Once chapter 15 is completed, Havik becomes unlocked for use in nearly all modes. Just be aware that you’ll need to be online to collect your rewards, though once Havik is unlocked, he should remain so if you go back offline.
