Mortal Kombat’s finishing moves have always been pretty wild, but one in particular really takes the cake. Now, players have discovered that you can loop this Mortal Kombat 1 fatality and the results are really quite something.
The fatality in question has Geras reach into the future to tear his opponent’s head off, then use it bludgeon their current selves. The fatality ends with Geras’s hand appearing through a portal and yanking their heads off. Flawless Victory. Fatality.
What some YouTubers have been doing is looping the footage so the head-ripping just carries on, and on, and on. It’s horrifying and non-work safe but it’s also weirdly hypnotic. And the more you watch it, the weirder things get.
SlartyMcGuarty, one of several YouTubers and Twitter users who have looped the fatality, describes it as “..Reptile trapped in a conga train of Geras tearing his head off.” And they’re not wrong.
We know it’s supposed to be a temporal loop, but it actually feels like a multiversal line of Gerases (Gerii?). Each murders Reptile in their own timeline then watches as the next Geras takes their head. We’re not sure what it says about us, but we could watch this for hours. Anyone want to whip up a ten hour loop of this Mortal Kombat 1 fatality?
