Baldur’s Gate 3 has its own official cartoon, or at least a short. But instead of going all Disney, it reminds of nothing so much as a Saturday morning cartoon. Okay, the animation is a little better, but it’s absolutely giving us that same vibe.
Dubbed a “Launch Party”, it might be a little late for this fantasy RPG’s PC launch. But given that Baldur’s Gate 3 has just hit the PlayStation 5 that’s excuse enough to watch this cartoon.
It’s a collaboration with @mashed but instead of soundalikes, it features the official Baldur’s Gate 3 voice actors. It has the team leaving the Land of Early Access (literally) and running into… well, we’re not going to spoil it for you.
Animated Astarion is just precious, as are the rest of the cast. Though it does have more existential quandries than your average Transformers/GI Joe/Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors episode. And if you’ve not made it to Baldur’s Gate in-game (check out our review in progress) you get a brief taster.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is out now on PC and PlayStation 5, with an Xbox Series X|S release scheduled for later this year. Now, if we can just get an animated PSA where Karlach warns us about the dangers of playing with matches…
