After spending a considerable amount of time in Early Access, the full release of Disney Dreamlight Valley launches today. And for those who have already been enjoying this farming and life-sim adventure, there’s even better news: a free update is available as well as the game’s first paid expansion.

Originally planned as a free-to-play title, unfortunately you’ll now need to pay to access Disney Dreamlight Valley with developer Gameloft changing its approach. It’s worth it, though, as the game offers tens of hours of fun for Disney and farming life-sim fans. Since entering Early Access, it’s received numerous updates, adding new features and content as well as quashing bugs, which means that it’s now in a very good state. And the free updates are set to continue. The latest free update released today, for example, allows players to meet Jack Skellington in the game. It also adds a new multiplayer feature that allows players to visit their friends’ worlds in order to trade, explore and even make purchases from Scrooge McDuck’s store.

Those who really want to get more out of Disney Dreamlight Valley will want to pick up the game’s first paid expansion, titled A Rift in Time. This transports players to the new Eternity Isle and features a whole new storyline. Of course, there are new villagers to meet as well, including Eve from WALL-E, Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, and Rapunzel from Tangled. Those who play A Rift in Time in the first week will even bag some bonus goodies, in the form of a Jester Monkey companion and the Gilded Royalty outfit.

Disney Dreamlight Valley and A Rift in Time are available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC. Apple device users can now also get into the game thanks to Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade, which includes both the base game and the expansion but cuts out certain content such as seasonal Star Paths and the Premium Shop.
