Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Suit arrives in Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman: Arkham Knight

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman suit has been added to Batman: Arkham Knight. Again. Why again? Because it was accidentally added to the Epic Game Store version of the game, then hastily withdrawn.

Now it’s back, as spotted by Wario 64, and it looks pretty damn cool. Even better, it’s free, which isn’t bad for a game that was released in 2015. But this isn’t random as it might seem. The Batman: Arkham trilogy recently launched on the Nintendo Switch and, for a time, the skin was exclusive to that version. It was released onto the Epic Game Store entirely by accident, so someone probably a got a slap on the bat-wrist for that.

That said, there’s a note of melancholy to its addition. Kevin Conroy, who plays Batman in the game and for many, is the definitive Batman, is no longer with us. His last performance as Batman is set to be in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which is set to arrive this February 2nd.

The game will require an update but whatever platform you’re on, the next time you fire up Batman: Arkham Knight, Robert Pattinson’s The Batman suit should be there. As for the movie itself, there’s a sequel in the works but James Gunn has confirmed it won’t be part of the new DCU continuity.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
