It’s been rumoured for a little while, and Sony has just revealed the date of the next State of Play. It’s around the corner, too, coming this week on Wednesday 31st January. You’ll want to clear your diaries for 10pm GMT/5pm ET.

From the official announcement on the PlayStation Blog, the stream will last around 40 minutes. There’ll be more than 15 games showcased, with extended features on Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin. We can also expect to get a “new look at other titles coming to PS5 and PSVR 2 in 2024 and beyond”.

That doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll get some brand new announcements during the State of Play, but we wouldn’t rule it out. Rather, the focus is likely to be games we’ve already seen before, but we’ll get more information and new trailers. Still, we’re not going to complain.

How to watch PlayStation’s State of Play this Wednesday

To tune into the State of Play, simply head to PlayStation’s official YouTube, Twitch or TikTok channel. Each one will show the same stream, so it’s entirely down to your own preference.

Be there on Wednesday 31st January at 10pm GMT. Of course, we’ll have a round-up of the stream afterwards, and we’ll be covering any exciting announcements in more detail.
