The Latest Banishers Trailer Gets You Ready to Step Into Its World

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, from Life is Strange and Vampyr developer Don’t Nod, is now less than two weeks away. If you’re thinking of jumping into the game, its latest trailer, running at over four minutes, gives you all the information to need to do so without a hitch.

The Official Gameplay Breakdown trailer for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden covers five topics. In The Lands of New Eden, you’ll learn about the world in which the story takes pace, which is gripped in darkness. But it’s in Curse, Choices and Consequences where things get really interesting, as it’s where one aspect of the story really makes its mark: Protagonists Antea and Red are both lovers and Banishers, but Antea has recently found herself passing on from the mortal realm. Needless to say, Red has some challenging choices to make, which will no doubt affect the fate of his beloved partner.

The last three topics covered in the trailer are all concerned with the combat found in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Players will take control of both characters during combat, switching between them as necessary. As Red, players will be able to make use of a wide range of weapons including rifles, allowing him to be effective up close and at range. He’ll also have access to powerful Banishing attacks.

Antea, on the other hand, can perform spiritual area of effect attacks, though she also appears to be dangerous at close range. Throughout the course of the game, more skills and abilities will apparently become available thanks to skill trees.
