How to Get More Ammo in Helldivers 2

Are you wondering how to get more ammo for your guns in Helldivers 2 when you’ve run out? Here’s what you need to know.

In Helldivers 2, your ammo isn’t infinite. Sorry to break it to you. Even your sidearm doesn’t have infinite ammo, as it might in many other games. You’re going to need to use your ammo carefully, then, and make sure you restock regularly. But it’s easier said than done when you’re in the midst of a heavy firefight against an alien threat.

Thankfully, the ability to get more ammo is right at your fingertips. You simply need to call in a Resupply stratagem, which will bring down a crate containing ammo, grenades and health kits. To call in a stratagem, press LB. This then brings up a list of your available stratagems in the top-left corner of the screen.

On that list, you should see ‘Resupply’. Dial in the code by using the arrows on your d-pad: it’s down, down up then right. Once the code has been put in, use R2/RT to throw your stratagem sphere, which will determine where it’s going to land. After waiting 10 seconds or so, the stratagem will drop from the sky.

You’ll need to walk up to the stratagem and interact with it in order to replenish your ammo in Helldivers 2. But once that’s done, you’re restocked and ready to get back to shooting enemies. Be careful, though: you can only call in a particular stratagem every few minutes, so you can’t call too many. If you’re playing with others, you’ll need to strategise between yourselves and each take it in turns.

It’s worth noting that ammo can also be found out in the world, but it’s not incredibly common, so we wouldn’t rely on it.
