Find out how to increase your carry limit in Dragon’s Dogma 2, allowing you to pick up more loot without being bogged down.

As you make your way through Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll come across a whole load of loot. Sometimes it’s pieces of valuable equipment that you’ll either want to stash for later or sell at a store. Other times its consumables or materials that you need to upgrade your gear. In any case, it all adds up, and as you start to approach your maximum weight carrying limit your character becomes slower and less agile. So, how do you increase your carry limit in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

To increase your carry limit in Dragon’s Dogma 2, allowing you to carry more weight, you need to find and use something called a Golden Trove Beetle. You’ll find these out in the open world, generally sat upon trees and rocks. Though they’re much easier to spot at night as they glow. Approach and pick up a Golden Trove Beetle to add it to your inventory. Go into your inventory and use a Golden Trove Beetle to then increase the carry limit for both your Arisen and main Pawn by 0.15 kg.

While finding and using Golden Trove Beetles is the primary way to increase the weight you can carry in Dragon’s Dogma 2, there are other things you can do too. The fighter vocation has an augment you can unlock that increases your carry limit, for example. And once unlocked, you can use it with other vocations. There are also rings you can obtain that increase your carry limit. So, if you want to be able to pick up more items while out exploring, there are lots of ways to facilitate it. You’ll still want to put items in storage every once in a while though.
