Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was a big success for Ubisoft and now, as revealed by a new roadmap, the publisher and developer is planning on adding a host of new content to the game.

Not only was Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown financially successful and a great game, it also served to remind people that the franchise existed, fourteen years after the last PoP title. There’s a Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake in the works, but its development has been restarted at least once. So it’s not surprising that Ubisoft is going all in with extra content.

So what’s in the works? Over the course of the next few months, The Lost Crown players will be getting the following free extras:

  • Speedrun mode,
  • Permadeath mode
  • New character outfits
  • Boss rush mode
  • New ‘Divine Trial’ challenges.

The speedrun mode is set to drop in March, alongside a handful of outfits, while the rest will arrive over the course of the year. There’s also a paid story expansion in the works, again arriving later in 2024. We’re definitely curious to see where that DLC picks up since The Lost Crown doesn’t exactly end on a cliffhanger.

If you’ve not played Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, it’s currently 40% off on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, with a demo available on all platforms.
