After briefly being put on the store and then taken down again, a demo for Stellar Blade has officially been announced, and it’ll be available this week.

The demo for Stellar Blade, available exclusively on PS5, will be available to download from 29th March. It will essentially allow players to play through the first stage of the game, which includes handy tutorials that will explain important mechanics. And your time spent won’t be wasted: should you pick up the full game when it launches you’ll find that your progress carries over. There’s supposedly a nice surprise for those who complete the demo as well.

Developed by Shift Up Corp., Stellar Blade puts players in control of Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad. Sent to Earth to reclaim from a race of fearsome creatures known as Naytiba, Eve will have a battle on her hands as she explores Eidos 7, a human city swarming with the hostile invaders.

Stellar Blade launches on 26th April, and those wishing to jump into the demo will able to do so from 7am PDT/2pm GMT on 29th March. That gives plenty of time to master the game’s mechanics before launch, and get a good taste of the actions it’s set to offer.
