A messy hotel room in Hotel Renovator

Turn a dive into a dream with Hotel Renovator, out now on console

House flipping is fine, but what if you want to run your own hotel, turning it from a complete wreck into a five star luxury palace? That’s where Hotel Renovator comes in and, after launching on PC, it’s now hit console.

Available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, you’re the owner of a run-down hotel and, aside from generally sprucing it up, you have to deal with specific requests from would-be visitors. There’s even a vampire who doesn’t want to turn to ash the moment they step inside.

So what do you do? You get your hammer and tools out and start fixing things up. Granted, your guests are a little entitled, thinking they can have an entire room made just for their purposes. But we had a blast with the PC version, so Hotel Renovator’s console release should deliver.

“Its gameplay loop of destroying a room before being let loose with our wildest interior design ideas is utterly entrancing,” we remarked in our impressions. We did take issue with the bugs and while the game has been patched, recent Steam reviews do mention the odd glitch still. Hopefully developer Two Horizons has squashed the lion’s share of any bugs.

Hotel Renovator is out now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, priced £19.99/$24.99 on console and £21.99/$24.99 on PC.
