Disney Dreamlight Valley teases its next update

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Twitter account is teasing its next update, and asking fans what they’d most like to see come to the game.

It’s been just under two months since Disney Dreamlight Valley’s last update, which saw Sulley and Mike from Monsters Inc. land in the valley. It’s almost time to start thinking about a new update, then, with the game’s planned early spring update getting ready to roll out. The game’s social media team posted a tease on Twitter/X on Saturday, asking fans what they’d most like to see in the game.

That’s not to say that fans’ wishlists will be taken into account… at least for this update. Obviously, developer Gameloft will have the next update to Disney Dreamlight Valley absolutely nailed down — and judging by the 2024 roadmap, all updates through to summer are accounted for, too. But that’s not to say that fan suggestions won’t be listened to at some point.

Looking at the responses on Twitter, players would like to see more Disney princesses come to the game — and we’d have to agree. Cinderella and Pocahontas would be in good company with Ariel and Belle, we think. Some players have also asked for Alice in Wonderland characters, and for Flynn Rider from Tangled.

More than anything, though, fans are hungry for various fixes and quality of life improvements. More quests is a very common request, along with the currently-wonky photo mode to be fixed. We’ve also seen requests for the player level to be increased: we agree — we’ve been max level for a very long time!

What is Disney Dreamlight Valley’s next update, and what’s still coming in 2024

While Gameloft hasn’t announced what the early spring update entails, a 2024 roadmap was shared back in December. “A vibrant new villager moves to the valley,” says the description. Judging by the boat picture, we think it could be Daisy, Donald Duck’s partner, but we could be wrong.

Undoubtedly the early spring update will also bring with it some bug fixes and updates, and any new characters will have a string of Friendship Quests too.

As you can see in the roadmap image above, we’ve still got a late spring update to come, which we think could be Mulan. And later in the summer, Tiana from Princess and the Frog will be landing in the game.

While Gameloft has given no ETA for the incoming update, we can expect to see it in the next couple of weeks. We’re looking forward to seeing what new character lands on our shores!
