Crow Country

Crow Country, a love letter to ’90s horror games, is available now

Have an appreciation for classic ’90s horror games such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill? You should perhaps check out Crow Country, which has just this day launched on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. Even better, priced at just £16.75/$19.99, it won’t break the bank.

Already a hit with critics, Crow Country is an atmospheric horror game set in a theme park. Playing as Mara Forest, you’re there to investigate the disappearance of its owner, the mysterious Edward Crow, and why he chose to close it.

Of course, in keeping true to its inspirations there are enemies aplenty and a wide range of puzzle to overcome. You’ll need to carefully manage your resources, too. But for those who find everything a bit too scary, there is an Exploration Mode that turns off all enemies, combat and danger, literally making it a walk in the (amusement) park.

You can check out the launch trailer for Crow Country below. If anything, it at least ought to impress you with its 3D visuals that perfectly replicate the visual style of late ’90s pre-rendered graphics. And did we mention you can play with tank controls?
