How to save in Men of War II

Men of War II, a soldier looking as a tank goes past in a field.

Wondering how to save your game in Men of War II? Here’s what you need to know.

Men of War II can be tough and if you want to know how to save your game so you can roll back your bad decisions, or bad luck, here’s how to go about it.

First of all, you can only save your game in single-player mode. Even if you’re playing against bots in multiplayer mode, you can’t save. Secondly, in single-player, the game will autosave at some points, usually when you’ve hit a major objective. But it’s still a good idea to manually save in Men of War II and here’s how.

  • Start a match in Conquest, Historical or Story mode (you can’t save manually in Raid mode)
  • Hit Escape
  • Click on Save, and you’ll be able to save in one of several slots, naming your save. Do not save over any Autosave slot.
  • Repeat this to save again, but it’s a good idea to keep at least two manual saves on the go.
  • To load, hit Escape and select Load from the menu, or load from the main menu.

It’s not just a good idea to save in case something goes wrong with your battle plan, there’s another reason too. Men of War II requires an online connection even in single-player and while that’s being fixed, the game can kick you out of a single-player match for being idle.

So if you think you’re going to be away for a few minutes, save your name just in case you come back and you’ve been kicked out for being away from the keyboard in your own solo match. Believe us, that can happen, it’s happened to us. And that’s how to save your game in Men of War II.
