Kingdom Hearts Steam

The Kingdom Hearts series is finally coming to Steam

Since the release of the first game in the series way back in 2002, Kingdom Hearts has won over a legion of fans thanks to its marrying of the worlds of Disney and Final Fantasy. And yet despite multiple releases on various platforms including remasters, there’s one key place where the series has remained absent: Steam. Thankfully, that’s about to change.

After three years of being exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC, the Kingdom Hearts series will finally be accessible via Steam on 13th June. Players will be able to purchase Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind DLC individually, or pick up Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece which includes all the available titles, presumably at a reduced price.

Apparently Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX features textural upgrades to is graphics, which means it should look better than ever. And those picking up Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind DLC or Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece will receive a platform exclusive “Dead of Night” Keyblade.

Unfortunately there’s no mention of music-rhythm game Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory in the announcement. Maybe that will make its way to Steam at a later date? In any case, whether you’re a fan wanting to relive the series, or a newcomer that’s been waiting to jump in, the Kingdom Hearts series arriving on Steam is something to be happy about.
