Undisputed 4 - Louis vs Rocky (1)

Authentic boxing game Undisputed launches on PC and consoles this October

Boxing fans don’t have the best luck when it comes to video games. Most titles based on the sport tend to be arcadey in nature, being purposefully over the top. And the one series that did get it right, EA’s Fight Night, has been neglected since its last release in 2011. But don’t worry: Steel City Interactive’s Undisputed, launching this October on PC and consoles, promises to be the most authentic boxing game in over a decade.

Some boxing fans might already be familiar with Undisputed – it launched into Steam Early Access in January 2023. We even went hands-on with it, declaring that “it looks like boxing fans are finally getting the game they deserve.” When Undisputed officially launches on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam on 11th October, however, much will have changed.

For one, it will have a full career mode, in which players can build their team, negotiate contracts, train, and also participate in matches, all in pursuit of becoming an undisputed champion. There’ll be more boxers on the roster, too – over 70 of them, in fact. Here’s your chance to take control of heavy-hitters such as Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Canelo Alvarez, Katie Taylor and Roy Jones Jr., or create your own fighter and lead them to stardom.

Two versions of Undisputed will be available: standard, and the deluxe WBC Edition. Included in the WBC Edition is the Fighters Pack, which includes Jaime Munguia, Regis Prograis, Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez, Dmitry Bivol, Caleb Plant, and Julio Cesar Chavez, along with alternative ring attire for each, the Apparel Pack, which includes alternative ring attire for Claressa Shields, Canelo Alvarez, Oleksandr Usyk, Katie Taylor, Tyson Fury, and Amir Khan, and the Eras Pack, which includes three young fighter versions – Tyson Fury ’09, Canelo Alvarez ’11, and Muhammad Ali ’64.

Whichever version players buy, a calendar of exciting free and paid post-launch content is planned, including fighters, apparel and venues. Those who pre-order either version will also get a bonus in the form of an additional fighter – Roy Jones Jr. ’93.
