Lego Horizon Adventures is a weird choice — but we’ll play the heck out of it

Aloy made out of Lego, running around alongside a man in a hot dog outfit? Sounds weird AF, but sign us up for it. That’s exactly what Lego Horizon Adventures is, a brick-built Lego adventure game set in the world of Horizon Forbidden West.

It’s a complete reimagining of PlayStation’s first party series, taking a realistic world and turning it into bricks. But, from the trailer, revealed today during Summer Game Fest, it looks a ridiculous amount of fun.

This’ll tell its own story, and it seems just like the existing games, Aloy will feature front and centre. But it seems like Lego Horizon Adventures will be filled with typical Lego humour, with lots of minifigures running around alongside her. We also spotted a couple of real-world Lego sets in the trailer, which look humorously out-of-place in the world of Horizon.

Perhaps strangest of all about Lego Horizon Adventures, though, is that — despite being a PlayStation-owned brand — it’s coming to PlayStation, PC and Switch at launch. No Xbox, unfortunately.

We don’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to land this winter. We’re utterly perplexed, but can’t wait to find out more.
