Announced during the latest Nintendo Direct, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is on the way later this year. Bundling up seven classic arcade games featuring Marvel superheroes, it’s bound to go down a treat with fighting game fans, as many of the titles included are either only playable in arcades or very expensive to own on console.

It’s not good news for all, however, as while Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will be hitting PS4 and PC as well as Switch, for some reason it will be skipping Xbox. We imagine there’s a good reason for this, as it’s not as if the hardware can’t handle it.

The games included in Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics are as follows:

  • X-Men: Children of the Atom
  • Marvel Super Heroes
  • Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
  • Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
  • X-Men vs. Street Fighter
  • The Punisher

Like previous retro collections by Capcom, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will have a wealth of special features and enhancements. All of the fighting games in the collection will have training modes and online multiplayer, for example, and rollback netcode is being employed to ensure that matches play out at their best. You’ll be able to spectate other players’ matches, too.

Additionally, all games will have online leaderboards, allowing players to measure their performance and compete with others all around the world. Throw in other features like a jukebox, museum and various display filters, and we should have another great retro collection from Capcom that allows gamers to appreciate the company’s history.
