Released September last year on PC, we weren’t too keen on Strange Scaffold’s El Paso, Elsewhere. But it resonated with a large number of critics and players thanks to its Max Payne-esque gameplay. Since then it’s been announced that a film adaptation is in the works. And now there’s the news that PS5 owners will soon be able to play the game.

In El Paso, Elsewhere, players enter a motel in order to track down and eradicate someone you used to love – Draculae. It’s not going to be an easy job, however, what with Draculae’s minions standing in your path, and the motel itself being warped beyond reality. You need to keep your wits about you, then, and make use of your powers, including slo-mo, to get one-up on your enemies whenever you can.

What makes El Paso, Elsewhere really stand out are its PS1-styled visuals and unique hip-hop soundtrack. It’s just a shame that, for us at least, its gameplay quickly gets a little repetitive. Still, if you’d like to give it a try yourself, it will arrive on PS5 on 6th September, and there’ll even be a special physical version available, which includes an exclusive poster and a digital version of the game’s soundtrack. Check out the trailer below.
