How to complete The Haunting of the Beast’s Castle in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Do you want to unlock Lumiere and Cogsworth in Disney Dreamlight Valley? Then there’s a series of quests you need to follow, starting with The Haunting of the Beast’s Castle. Completing this mission will open up three more, and only once all are complete will you have Lumiere and Cogsworth in your Valley. If you need help completing The Haunting of the Beast’s Castle, we’ve got everything you need to know here.
First, you need to head to the Beauty and the Beast realm. You can simply fast travel by heading to the map screen in your main menu, or go into the castle and travel through the relevant door. Once you’re there, find Lumiere — head down the corridors until you find yourself in the main sitting room of the castle. Talk to him.
1. Make Fireplace Fuel
Lumiere needs to light the fire, so head into the room to the left of him (previously the ‘secret room’) and take the items out of the crate. There’s 3x castle canola, castle paper and castle softwood. Use the stove at the side of you to make Fireplace Fuel (3x castle canola).
Go talk to Lumiere and give him the paper, softwood and Fireplace Fuel. Talk to Lumiere again, and he’ll ask you to catch a flying painting.
2. Catch a flying painting
Head into the corridors. Wander around – the painting will keep moving throughout the castle so you’ll get it eventually. Get ready to press X/A when you’re close to it.
Once you’ve caught the painting, head to the piano, near where you entered the castle. Hang the painting on the wall behind.
Pick up the items that appear on the floor next to the piano. Return to Lumiere and talk to him.
3. Clean up the garden
Follow Lumiere to the garden and talk to him again.
Use your pickaxe to get rid of the statues and make your way to the centre of the garden and talk to Cogsworth.
Return to Lumiere and talk to him again.
