Silent Hill 2 remake gets an in-your-face first-person mod

What’s worse than being stranded in Silent Hill? Having the horror right in your face, which is where a new Silent Hill 2 first-person mod comes in. It takes Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake and switches up the camera so you don’t even have the safety of looking over James’s shoulders.
This mod is the work of artist, designer and modder axbhub, who’s also created mods for Silent Hill f, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and many others. It shows you the world through protagonist James’s eyes, which promises to make the game even more harrowing.
The one exception is combat, where the game switches back to third person. Axbhub is, however, working on a way to bring that to first-person too. They also plan on giving the mod a few other tweaks as it’s slightly buggy right now, but this is still quite an accomplishment.

There are similar mods for the original Silent Hill 2, though you’ll get more out of this one. Compared to the original’s 3-5 hour runtime, you’ll spend around 20 hours roaming the remake, which is absolutely packed with eerie sights.
The mod, which is for PC only, can be downloaded from Nexus Mods here. You’ll need to create an account, but if you’re looking for a new way to experience the Silent Hill 2 remake, it should be worth the effort.
