Life is Strange: Reunion walkthrough – Full guide with collectibles and trophies/achievements

The last chapter of Life is Strange is here, giving us an exciting conclusion to Max and Chloe’s story, which began all the way back in 2015. Life is Strange: Reunion finally sees Max and Chloe reunited after more than a decade – although with lots of time shenanigans to get their heads around, it might not be quite the happy reunion we’d hope for. If you’re playing the game, we’re here to help: our Life is Strange: Reunion walkthrough will guide you through all major choices and puzzles, and we’ve also got collectibles and trophies/achievements covered.

You can use the quick links menu below to jump to a specific chapter in the game, or you can simply follow through from start to finish. Any major choices, collectibles and ‘Backtalk’ challenges with Chloe have been highlighted in a grey box, to help these sections stand out.

When it comes to making dialogue choices throughout the game, you’re still free to naturally choose whatever you want to. We’ve emphasised major choices, and given you the necessary information, but ultimately you can follow our guide but still make the story your own. We hope our Life is Strange: Reunion walkthrough is helpful – and more importantly, we hope you have fun playing.

A quick note before we begin: we’ve used PlayStation controls throughout the guide, so bear that in mind if you’re playing on Xbox or PC. X is A, circle is X, R2 is RT, and so on.

Before you start

After watching a recap of what happened in previous Life is Strange games, you’ll need to either choose or randomise choices that happened throughout the series. Here’s what you’ll need to decide:

• Whether Max was friends with or romanced Amanda, the bartender at the Snapping Turtle (Double Exposure)
• Whether Chloe died or survived Arcadia Bay (Life is Strange 1)
• Whether Max and Chloe were friends or romantically involved (Life is Strange 1)
• Whether Max supported Safi or rejected Safi in her goal to find more people with powers (Double Exposure)
• Whether Max romanced or was friends with Vinh (Double Exposure)

Sadly, the game can’t pull over decisions automatically. This gives you the choice to stick with your legacy decisions from when you did play the games, or choose the outcomes you wished you’d had.

Backstage Pass

There are no collectibles in this chapter.

• Choose how Chloe should respond to the bar manager.
• Head up the slope and look at the gun on the floor. Keep walking and look at the Polaroid camera.
• At the top of the hill, look at the gravestone. Move forward to begin a cutscene.

Mountain State of Mind

• Interact with the donut box in the back of Max’s car.
• Take the journal, and take the opportunity to read it, along with Max’s SMS messages in the same menu.
• Back at Max’s car, organise the portfolio, examine the student essays and move the hat. Look at Max’s bag and suitcase, then pick up the camera.
• Take a photo of the sunset: press ‘up’ on the d-pad to pull out your camera. Set your composition then press R2 to take the photo. You can retake if you want, but press X when you’re done to save the photo.
• Read the messages from Moses then press circle to back out of the SMS menu when you’re ready.

Emergency Response

There are no collectibles in this chapter.

• Examine the graffiti on the floor.

• Approach the cops, then approach the school building. Look for help until the cutscene kicks in.

Return to Selfie

There are no collectibles in this chapter.

Time Dojo

Collectibles: Gourd Day to You and One Giant Leap

Head left from the door of the science building and take a photo of the Jack O’Lanterns in the window.

Move through the building and past the stairs until you find a spacesuit. Photograph it.

• Head to the noticeboard near the bathroom and interact with the podcast posted. Press square to listen (Podcast Overload #1).
• Make your way to Moses’ office and enter the door.

• Choose how to respond to Owen, then go through the conversation with Moses.
• Look at the whiteboard and examine all parts of it.
• Talk to Moses.
• Rewind, then take the card from Moses.
• Rewind again. Go upstairs and examine the schoolgirl statue on the shelf with the DVDs. Turn it over and examine the base of it.

• Rewind again, and talk to Moses. Answer ‘Mina Hiramatsu’.
• Go over to the locked cupboard and examine it. Take the screwdriver next to it.
• Interact with the cupboard door again and use the screwdriver to open it.
• Rewind, and go over to Moses’ desk. Take the cushion from his chair.

• Open the cupboard again now the cushion is in place.
• Rewind again, and talk to Moses.
• Stand on the X marker on Moses’ floor. Rewind when the kettle sparks and run upstairs to unplug it.
• Speak to Moses and go through the dialogue options.

Class Act

• Go through the dialogue options with your class.
• Head over to the right-hand side of the building covered in scaffolding.

Collectibles: The Rebellion Lives in Art and End of the School Week

Take a photo of the tiger graffiti on the side of the scaffolded building.

Head right, moving towards an art sculpture. Take a photo of the student performing besides it.

• Find Loretta on the grass (the girl in the beanie and yellow/grey sweater) and talk to her.
• Head to the right of Loretta towards a blue portaloo, and you’ll find two squirrels on the grass.

Collectible: What a Cute Critter

Take a photo of the squirrels near the portaloo.

• Talk to Reggie. He’s standing by the large water feature statue.
• Rewind, and talk to the student at the other side of the water feature. Guess his major.
• Go back to talk to Reggie and talk to him again.
• Make your way to the strange head/crown statue. There are crows on a bench just below it.

Collectible: Not Quite Nevermore

Take a photo of the crows on the bench by the weird statue.

• From here, walk over to Jeannette. She’s the red-haired girl wearing a Varsity jacket. Talk to her. Rewind, then talk to her again.
• Head back to the soldier statue where class started. Check the cameras in the camera case.
• Approach Loretta, and tell her you want to listen in to Reggie’s conversation.
• Rewind, so Loretta doesn’t know you snooped with her. Then go to the camera case to end the class.
• Go through the dialogue options with Yasmin.

• Interact with Max’s bag and pick it up.

Open Mic Night

There are no collectibles in this chapter.

• Look at the silent auction bidding table. Look at the sculpture bidding sheet on the right, then place a bid.
• To the left of the bidding table, look at the Lakeport brochure on the table in the corner.
• Go to the stage and listen to the poet. Interact and listen four times to unlock Soul of a Poet trophy.
• Talk to Amanda.
• Talk to Joey, the guy behind the bar.
• Talk to Vinh – he’s by the end of the bar. Go through the dialogue options.
• Find a seat in front of the stage.
• Rewind, and talk to the heckler in green, sat in a booth near the stage.

• Ask him about car keys. Rewind, then say ‘Saw your Mercedes’.
• Take a seat again to watch Amanda’s performance.
• Talk to Amanda. Go through the dialogue options.
• Look at the sculpture sheet on the auction table again. Vinh has outbid you! Place another bid.
• Talk to Lucas – he’s sat at the back of the bar.

• Rewind, and talk to him again. Choose ‘New novel?’
• Go pick up a ‘Vox Populi’ business card.
• Rewind, then talk to Lucas again. Say ‘Heard your podcast’. Tell him it’s refreshing.
• Go through the dialogue options.
• Check the silent auction table again, and bid once more on the sculpture.
• Rewind, then choose ‘bid and steal pen’. Trophy: Going Once… Going Twice!
• Leave the bar.

Bar Break In

• Go through the dialogue options with the guys by the door.
• Go around the right hand side of the building to the employees entrance. Interact with the skull in the bin.

Collectible: Circle of Life

Interact with the skull in the bin, then interact with it again and choose ‘sketch’.

• Go around the left side of the bar and find a keg. Interact to climb on it.

• Go through dialogue with ‘Safi’.

Fremont Street

• Look at the map in the cab of the large truck.

Collectible: There’s a Light Over at the Frankenstein Place

Look up at the window on the top left of the building, and photograph the mannequin in the window.

• Examine the footprints leading up onto the porch of the house.
• Move left, and examine the boarded window.

Lying and Waiting

• Examine the keyring, and take it.
• Pick up the Snapping Turtle coaster to your left and examine it. Turn it over and examine the doodle on the other side.

Collectible: Tip From the Rogue Bar Artist

Turn over the coaster and interact with the cow sketch on the back of it. Interact again to sketch it.

• Interact with your beer bottle.
• Speak to Lucas.
• Interact with your beer bottle two more times.
• Talk to Amanda.
• Interact with the bill in front of you to pay.

More than Meets the Eye

There are no collectibles in this chapter.

• Choose to compromise with Loretta.
• Take the crowbar in the corner near the large jug.
• Use the crowbar on the door lock.
• Take the wire cutter from the shelf.

• There are four detonation boxes to cut the wires of, one hidden behind a tapestry curtain. You need to get them all before the time runs out. Cut the one next to the shelf unit last. If you run out of time, rewind and try again.

Reunion

• Go upstairs and watch Chloe for a while (Trophy: It’s, Uh, Kind of Fascinating to Me)
• Look at the birthday card on the kitchen worktop.
• Plate up the muffin.
• Interact with the coffee pot and make coffee.
• Go back upstairs and stand on the top of the stairs.

Collectible: Shhhh! Don’t Wake Her

Don’t get too close – take a photo of Chloe from the top of the stairs.

• Interact with the fireplace and turn it on.
• Search Chloe’s duffel bag to find her keys. Look at the sketchbook, then take the keys.
• Leave through the door.
• In control of Chloe, look at the photo wall.
• Go downstairs.
• Go through the dialogue options.

Divide and Investigate

There are no collectibles in this chapter.

• Go through the dialogue options.

Admin Sleuth

• Talk to Loretta in the library, and go through the dialogue options.
• Look at the History of the Occult book on shelf B6.

• Look at the bust statue behind Loretta and read the plaque.
• Look at the ‘Rituals and Relics in Modern Life’ book on shelf 28.
• Look at the ‘Animal Symbology’ book on shelf 08, on the back wall of the library.
• Speak to Loretta and tell her about everything you’ve found.
• Look at the ‘Sabbats: A Celebration of Seasons’ book on shelf B2.

• Talk to Loretta again.
• Go to talk to Vinh at his desk and go through the dialogue options. Ensure you tell him to cancel the Mabon party.
• Rewind, then speak to Vinh again. Repeat the start of the conversation then say ‘Owen will want to hear this’.

Collectible: Dereliction of Duty

Once Vinh leaves his desk, take a photo.

• Enter Owen’s office.
• Look at the map, then search his desk drawer.
• Examine the computer. Click on email and scroll through three pages.
• Click on ‘Callie’ and then ‘New Prompt’. Say ‘Secrets of the Abraxas Society’. Then ‘What’s on Owen’s schedule?’.
• Back out of the PC.
• Use the phone to call Vinh.
• Rewind all the way back to before Vinh knocks and leave the office.

Cat and Max

• Go through the dialogue options with Reggie. Ask him about the Mabon party.
• Move to your right, and Max will sit on the grass to chat to Chloe on the phone.
• Keep moving forward until you reach two recycling bins near the soldier statue you held a class at earlier.

Collectible: A Portly Fellow

Near the recycling bins, there’s a gnome. Snap a photo of it.

• Now it’s time to try and find Safi. Go speak to Jeanette – she’s wearing pink and sitting at a table. Go through the dialogue options. It’s not her.
• Rewind, then talk to Jeanette again. Ask about grad school.
• Talk to the protester wearing a mask – he’s stood on the steps

• Next, go find Owen. He’s sat on a bench in the next grassy area. Try and talk to him – but he doesn’t want to talk .
• Rewind time, then go talk to the protester again. Ask ‘want to distract Owen?’.
• Go talk to Owen again. He’ll leave to deal with the protester, letting you look at the folder.
• When he comes back, go through dialogue options with him.

• Head to an empty table near the water feature – there’s a podcast flyer. Interact with it to hear (Podcast Overload #2).
• Find Isobel and Ratih, sat talking on a bench. Try to talk, but they’re busy chatting with each other. Leave, and come back – you can sneak a look at their folder while they’re distracted. Not what you were wanting.
• Speak to Vinh and Yasmin.
• Take a photo of the two of them at the table when prompted. (Collectible: Which One Is She??)

The Overlight

• Look at the calendar on the pinboard above Moses’ desk.
• Look at the 3D printer.
• Go over to the whiteboard and examine Moses’ evidence.
• Go upstairs and examine the photo on the coffee table.

• Suggest a name for the star – choose the rude one!
• Look at the cherry tree by the window.

Collectible: Young Yet Beautiful

Look at the cherry tree cutting by the window upstairs in Moses’ office. Once you’ve looked at it, you can sketch it.

• Go downstairs and talk to Moses. Ask him about the 3D printer first.
• Ask about Maya, and go through dialogue options.
• Look at the sign. Start walking up the hill.
• Look at the graffiti on each tree as you ascend.
• Read the note on the floor.
• Look at the bathroom floor. Keep walking forward.
• Once you’re back in Moses’ office, go through the dialogue options.

Times in Turtle

• Head to the right and admire the view.

Collectible: Where Water Meets Land

Go to the right of the railing and snap a photo of the view.

• Speak to Safi and go through dialogue options.

• Read Safi’s journal.
• Use your phone to text Chloe.
• In control of Chloe, talk to Lucas.

Collectible: Too Soon to be Spooky

Look at the pumpkins across from the bar, then interact again to sketch them.

• Head around to the other side of the bar and speak to Joey – he’s leaning on a barrel table next to an exit. You need some intel before you can talk to him though.
• Talk to Ren, the guy in the red shirt near the stage. Go through the dialogue options.
• Go over to the bar, and ask about the box of fireworks next to the wall.
• Speak to Amanda. Go through the dialogue options.

• Go over to the fire and look in the bucket by the side. Examine the scrap paper to find a password for the forum.
• Speak to Amanda again and ask about the message board.
• On the forum page, cycle through the highlighted words and press X to select them. Back up with circle when you’re done.
• Go over to Joey again.

• Go through the door out onto the decking to talk with Max.

Champlain Problems

There are no collectibles in this chapter.

• Go through the dialogue options as Max and Chloe.
• When you get the option, wish Max a happy birthday as Chloe. (Trophy: Happy Birthday)

Mabon

• Go onto the porch and talk to the guy guarding the door. You need a password to get by him.
• Eavesdrop on the group of Abraxans on the edge of the garden.
• Go look at the tapestry.

• Go talk to Loretta – she’s in a group to the left of the logs on the floor.
• Talk to the lone Abraxan stood near a tree at the other side of the garden. Yikes.
• Go back to talk to the guy guarding the door. Tell him the password is Basilisk.
• Once you’re inside, go into the room on the left and take the mask of a sleeping guy in an armchair.

• Go through to the other room, where the grand fireplace is. Inspect the goblet on the sideboard next to it, and stand it up.

Collectible: Get This Bad Man a Drink

Once you’ve stood the goblet up, you can take a picture of the devil head and the goblet.

• Rewind to before Reggie saw you. He’s in the side room – go talk to him. Take a sip of the drink when prompted.
• Follow him in the other room and talk to him. Nod when prompted.
• Rewind, and try again. This time, shake your head. Choose ‘thong’.
• Rewind again, and this time, say ‘No, it’s Max’.
• Leave through the door you came in from.
• You’re now in control of Chloe. Explore the basement, and read the notes on the table to the right of the altar.
• Look at the letter on the wall near the curtain. Move it.
• Examine the plaque underneath.
• Take the coaster from the Kallax unit against the opposite wall.

• Examine the plaque and place the coaster within it.
• In the secret room, look at the records just to the side of the entrance.

Collectible: Taste of the Psychedelic

Examine the pile of records and turn them over. On the side that looks like a lion is the option to ‘sketch’.

• look at the box on the right-hand shelves. Examine it and turn it around until you find the opening. Take the photos from inside.
• Leave through the same door.

• Walk around. Something isn’t right; things keep changing. When prompted, try to head inside.
• When you can get past, go up the stairs to the right and examine the poster on the table. Press square to listen (Podcast Overload #3).

• Talk to the guy near the door. Speak nonsense until he finally lets you in.
• When Max sits down, interact with the giant recorder, then the wine glass. Finally remove the cloth.
• Look around, then choose to face the mirror.
• Go through dialogue choices with Max and Chloe.

The Majestic Tapestry

This chapter has no collectibles

• Leave the cutscene with Max when you’re ready.
• Go through the dialogue options.
• Look at the photos one by one.

All Available Evidence

• Look at the polaroid and the document on the desk beside you.
• Go upstairs and look at the sign on the reptile tank.

Collectible: An empty home

Look at the sign on the reptile tank, then take a photo.

• Go downstairs and look at the evidence on the whiteboards, one by one.
• When you’re happy you’ve looked at everything, interact with the table containing snacks and choose ‘reconvene’.

• Go through the dialogue options.
• Exit the door to Moses’ office to follow Chloe.

Worth the Wait

This chapter has no collectibles

• Go through the dialogue options between Max and Chloe.

Chloe’s Decision

• Talk to Amanda. Go through the dialogue options.
• Go talk to Lucas – he’s at his usual spot at the back of the bar.
• Go through the dialogue options with him.
• At the other side of the bar, you’ll find Ren. Look in his backpack, then speak to him.
• Speak to him again.

• Go into the entrance vestibule. There’s a podcast poster on the wall. Interact to listen to it (Podcast Overload #4).

Collectible: Hiding in Plain Sight

Look up on the rafters between the bar and the brewery room: there’s a gnome. Look at it, then sketch it.

• Go out onto the decking.
• Talk to Noelle, and make an accusation. All evidence points to Ren.

Max’s Decision

• Look at the photo Safi presents to you.
• Go through the dialogue options with Safi.

Collectible: Not the Center of the Universe

After you regain control in the Principal’s office, look to the left of the door to find an Astronomer statue. Take a photo.

• Sit in the chair across from Yasmin and talk to her. Choose ‘Owen’, then ‘Why’.
• Rewind, then talk to Yasmin again. Choose ‘Not a snake’. Choose ‘Hall of Secrets’, then ‘Who else knew?’. Next, choose ‘Sledgehammer’, then ‘Some connection’.
• Rewind, and talk to Yasmin again. When you are presented with options, choose ‘Drowning in guilt’.
• When you can next choose an option, go for ‘You made him do it?’. Next, choose ‘The body is gone’.
• Leave the office.
• Make a choice about your suspect. We chose Owen.

A Bold Plan

• Go through the dialogue choices with Moses.

“Peaceful” Protest

• Watch the cutscene play out.

Keeping Watch

• Go through dialogue options between Chloe and Moses.
• When you have control, go over to the table with the plant and a book. Inspect the book.

Collectible: Cycles of Tragedy

Once you’ve inspected the book, sketch it. (Trophy: Drugstore Makeup)

• Open the case near the door to find… not an eyepiece, but a banana.
• Go over to the table with the lamp and read the document on the bench. The eyepiece is underneath it.
• Give the eyepiece to Moses.

In the Lighthouse

This chapter has no collectibles

• Go through the dialogue options.
• At the lighthouse, choose ‘Max loves you’, then ‘She told you about the fire’. Next, choose ‘You got lost in your powers’.
• Choose ‘Moms can forgive a lot’, then ‘We’re also alive’. (Trophy: You’re Coming With Me)

The Line of Fire

This chapter has no collectibles

• Run to the observatory.
• After speaking to the custodian, run up the ramp into the utility room. Pull the water valve pipe, and take the mask just behind you.

• Take the wrench on the shelf next to it.
• Leave the room and follow the path beyond the security guard (Noelle). Just to the left is a red valve. Turn it.

• Pick up the T-wrench on the wall above.
• Go back and talk to Noelle. Give her the mask. Tell her about Chloe and Moses.
• Turn right at the fountain and you’ll find a shutoff valve buried in the ground. Turn it.

• Run towards the front of the observatory building and smash the front door.
• Keep moving left.

Trust Fall

There are no collectibles in this chapter

• Go through the dialogue choices.
• Try to rewind when prompted.

Memorial

• When you get control, head out onto the decking.

Collectible: The Things We Cannot Escape

Take a photo of the memorial wall, out on the decking.

• Talk to Reggie – he’s over by the railing, looking out to sea.
• Go back inside and talk to Moses.
• Talk to Amanda.
• Talk to Yasmin – she’s in a booth near the stage.
• Go back outside and talk to Chloe and Safi.

Partners in Time

• Interact with the t-shirt near the TV. Read the letter that was underneath.
• Take a photo of Chloe when prompted (Trophies: Photo Wall and All These Memories).

Trophy/achievement list
