Get the Obscure survival horror duology for less than £5
Remember Obscure and its sequel? We don’t blame you if you don’t because they… actually, no, we’re not making that joke. What we will say is that if you’re a survival horror fan and you’ve not tackled this 2000s horror duology, you absolutely should, and this Steam offer is your chance.
For the next day, you can pick up Obscure and Obscure 2: The Aftermath from Steam, which cast you as several students taking on a high-school infected by a mutant plant. Think Resident Evil’s mutant plant dialled up to 11.
Working in pairs, one controlled by the player, the second by another player or the PC, you’ve got to delve into the horrific mystery affect the school. The twist is that if a player gets killed, the game continues. Just don’t count on a happy ending if half your crew are now corpses.
Obscure 2 follows in a similar vein, set two years after the original, transplanting the action to a university. The twist in both games is that, despite being set in the US, melee weapons play a major part in the game, with guns being in relatively short supply.
Both games are available on Steam. Obscure is £1.69, and Obscure 2 is £2.37 and the pair cost £3.73. However, you’ll have to hurry as there’s just over a day left to buy them from Steam.
