A DOOM-themed Evercade Nexus console is on the way
Announced earlier this year, there’s a new Evercade handheld device on the way. Out in October, the Evercade Nexus posits itself as a premium retro handheld, sporting an ultrabright 5.89-inch screen, dual analogue sticks for the first time, and a textured grip to ensure comfort. It already sounded like an auto-buy, but now the prospect has been made even more tempting: a DOOM Edition of the console has just been revealed.
Available to pre-order from today at 3pm BST, The Evercade Nexus DOOM Edition is a thing of beauty. It sports a red and dark grey body, decorated with a DOOM-themed design. Red buttons and a directional pad really stand out, with grey thumbsticks looking unassuming against the eyecatching design of the body.
The console comes with a red DOOM EVA hard case, a numbered certificate, a DOOM keyring, a poster and a comic. It also comes bundled with the DOOM Collection cartridge, which will be available separately (and playable on non-DOOM themed Evercade consoles) in October.
You can pre-order The DOOM Collection cartridge now, actually, but if you want to get your hands on the DOOM-themed Evercade Nexus, you’ll need to jump on the Funstock website today from 3pm. There are only 3,000 units being made, so you’ll need to be quick – but rest assured that you’ll be owning something truly special.
