The beautiful Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is coming to PS5 and Switch 2 next month
We’ve got good news for Moomin fans with a PS5 or Switch 2. The lovely, cosy Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is making its way to the consoles on 18th September. And having played the game on PC earlier this year, we can tell you that you’re in for a treat.
Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth puts players in control of young Moomintroll. He’s woken up from winter hibernation a little too early, and with Moominmamma and Moominpappa still asleep, he’s left to his own devices. And upon finding all the windows of the house open, with the rooms in disarray, he’s forced to go outside to try to find the culprit.
And so begins an adventure of discovering friends, offering them help and keeping the creatures of Moominvalley happy and healthy through a cold, snowy winter. It’s a gorgeous, relaxing game that can be taken at your own pace, and the perfect thing to play when you need to chill out.
We reviewed the game back in April, scoring it an impressive 9/10. Here’s what we said: “Free of challenge and peril, Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is a cosy hug of a game; the type of thing you play when you need to destress and escape into a new world.”
Like the sound of it? You can play it now on Steam and Switch, and it’ll be coming to PS5 and Switch 2 on 18th September both digitally and physically. If you’d rather get your hands on a snazzy collector’s edition, which includes an artbook, a tote bag, pins and a keychain, that will be available for PS5 and Switch 2 from 16th October.
