What is Psalm 5:9-13?
The name of the game comes from a passage in the bible. Psalms are broken up into short, numbered paragraphs, and this game is named after a number of passages from Psalm 5. Numbered 8-12 in English texts, these are Psalms 5:9 to 5:13 in Hebrew:
Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies—
make your way straight before me.Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongues they tell lies.Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,
for they have rebelled against you.But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
Exactly how these passages relate to the game is up to you to decide once you’ve played!
Things to note before you play
Beware: you move very slowly in Psalm 5:9-13 and there doesn’t seem to be a way to run. You never have to move far, however, so you’ll soon get used to the slow movement speed.
As you explore the house in Psalm 5:9-13, the main mechanic you’ll need to employ is focusing/zooming in on key items. Simply approach the object you nee to look at and press the ‘focus’ button – on PlayStation, that’s circle, and on an Xbox controller it’s the ‘B’ button.
We’ve played through the game a couple of times, and there seems to be a little bit of variation. Our guide should be correct regardless, but there may be instances where a jump scare happens at a slightly different point. It makes sense: it wouldn’t be quite the same if you always know when to expect it!
Psalm 5:9-13 step-by-step walkthrough
- Head down the corridor until you find yourself in a kitchen.
- On the corner of the worktop, you’ll find a pot with a face in. Press the focus button (on PlayStation, it’s circle) to zoom in. That will open a new door.

The living area
- Go through it into a living room area. Wait in the room until the TV glows white. On the side of the armchair facing the TV, you’ll see some gore. Focus on it and a new door will open.

- In the next room, there’s yet another sitting area with a TV. Approach the TV, then go to the closed door and focus on the strange creature you can see through the glass.
- Once the door opens, go through. Pick up the TV remote just behind the door.

- Go back, and use the remote on the TV. Flick through the channels until you get to a freaky face. Focus on that, then continue through the doors – a new door will be open at the end of the corridor.

The bedroom
- You’re now in a bedroom. Explore both sides of the bed and check the doors. Look into the dark corridor to see a strange skull, and focus on it.
- Approach the double doors to your left, and as you turn back into the bedroom, a flashlight will roll on the floor from the dark corridor. Pick it up.
- Now you’ve got the flashlight, you can enter the dark corridor. Go down and you’ll find a storage room. Make your way through the objects to the other side of the room.
- You’ll see the same strange skull under a table – focus on it. Make your way back to the bedroom.

- When you reach the bedroom, a light will explode, putting you into darkness. A door on your left will open, leading into an office. Go through.
Office
- There are numerous radios in the room: you need to turn on the correct two of them to accompany the music that’s already playing. Turn on the one on the cabinet behind the desk, and the one to the left of the window.
- Once you’ve turned them on, it’ll go dark and you’ll be locked in the room. Look around the room.
- Eventually, a face will appear in a filing box on the floor. Focus on it – you will need to stand in a certain position for it to trigger, so you might need to try a couple of times.

- You’ll now be trapped behind a desk. Look at the face drawn on the wall, and then look at the files that have cockroaches on them. Jump scare alert: When you turn around, a scary person will be there.
- The room will be back to normal, and the the door leading out of the office will be open. Go through.
Children’s playroom
- In the next room, a children’s play room, pick up the fox plushie that’s under the desk on your left.
- Pick up a stripy llama on top of the bunkbeds.
- Go to the small table. Place the llama in the seat closest the window, and the fox in the seat across from him.
- Move towards the ajar door, which should open, giving you access to another room. In the bin, you’ll find a duck plushie. Inspect the brown wooden box.

- Go back to the room you’ve just come from, and place the duck plushie on the chair nearest the wall.
- There’s now a brown bear on the bottom bunk whose head is moving around. Interact with the bear and take the key that’s inside him.
- Use the key on the brown box to find a lamb plushie inside. Go place the lamb on the remaining seat at the table.

- Now all four toys are at the table, approach the door and a scary figure will appear at the door.
- Now focus on the table with all the plushies on the table.
- Dotted around the room are various body parts: a torso by the door, some blood on the floor, an arm on the top bunk bed, an arm on a cabinet and a head on the bottom bunk. Start focusing on each piece: at some point you’ll be interrupted by a scary figure – when he enters the room, focus on him.
Bathroom/utility
- That opens up another door, which leads into a bathroom/utility area. Collect pieces of a broken mirror in here: There’s one in the washing machine, one on top of a cabinet, one in the toilet, and one in the sink.
- Once you’ve found them all, interact with the sheets above the sink unit and place the four pieces of mirror to complete it. Focus on your own reflection.

That’s it! You’ve finished Psalm 5:9-13, and we hope you found our walkthrough helpful. It may only be a very short horror game, but it certainly packs a punch.
