We love 007 First Light. In fact, we think it’s one of the best games released this year. In our 007 First Light review we stated that it “has everything you could want from a Bond game: fist fights, shootouts, epic set-pieces, car chases, subterfuge, and more.” It’s about to get a little bit better on PC, too, with today being the day that it receives a substantial update on the format.

The Path Tracing update for 007 First Light on PC is now available, boosting the game’s visuals with extra-detailed lighting, shadows and reflections, making it more immersive than ever before. The update includes DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, too, so if you’ve got the required hardware, it should look absolutely stunning.

While there’s good news for 007 First Light players on PC, those looking forward to playing the game on Switch 2 are going to be disappointed, as it’s suffered yet another delay. After missing its original launch date, 007 First Light was supposed to launch on Switch 2 this summer. The official X account for 007 First Light has revealed that that game will now launch in March 2027 on Switch 2, stating that more time is needed to add polish. An exact release date will be communicated at some point in the future.

There’s good news for some, then, and bad news for others. And if you’re yet to jump into 007 First Light on PS5, Xbox Series X/S or PC you’ll perhaps be pleased to hear that there’s currently a 20% discount, making it a little bit cheaper to step into the shoes of Bond for a short while.
