Atelier Karia gets a release date of February 2027

After two new Atelier games releasing in 2025, 2026 has been pretty quiet. 2025 saw the release of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land and Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian, and now we have a release date for the next game in the long-running franchise.
Announced earlier this summer, Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories is coming to PC and consoles on 25th February 2027. Although it focuses on a new protagonist, the titular Karia, some of its characters and its setting will be familiar with if you’ve played Atelier Yumia. Of course, you won’t need to have played it to enjoy Atelier Karia; like most games in the series, it can be played as a standalone RPG adventure.
The game follows Karia, an alchemist suffering with amnesia, along with her companions Servio, Fina and Yumia. Set in the familiar world of Aladiss, you’ll need to gather materials, engage in combat, explore the land around you, and a whole lot more. Needless to say, if you’ve played a game in Koei Tecmo’s long-running series, you’ll quickly find yourself at home.
Atelier Karia does promise some changes, though, including being equipped with unique abilities, an improved combat system and renewed synthesis. You can choose between different combat styles that become unlocked as you play, allowing you to tailor Karia’s combat proficiencies to suit your own playstyle. Furthermore, a number of enhancements have been made to improve exploration, including the introduction of new Field Actions. You’ll now be able to throw items that let you destroy obstacles or gather items at a distance, for example.
We look forward to seeing what else is new when Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories launches on 25th February 2027. It’ll be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2 and PC.
