Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 goes behind enemy lines with a new campaign trailer

Activision has dropped a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 trailer revealing that, as South Korean soldier Private Park you won’t just be fighting on your home turf; you’ll end up stranded behind enemy lines in North Korea, as the country launches a full-scale invasion of the South.
The short trailer dubbed, appropriately enough, “Stranded”, reveals that all is going well until something blasts a hole in Park and pals’ transport. Given how often that happens in fiction, you’d think they’d just walk, but it leaves the group stranded in North Korea. What could possibly go wrong?
Given that Private Park is a new protagonist, we’re nervous about his predicament. The rebooted Modern Warfare series has killed off a series regular, so Park may be on shaky ground. The trailer, which you can watch below, doesn’t confirm Park’s part of the game will take place in North Korea. But, without support, it looks like he and his squad will be going through hell.
Park aside, you’ll also play as Captain Price, who’s globe-trotting on his quest for vengeance. We fully expect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 to switch perspectives on a cliffhanger, making you wait to find out how each protagonist gets out of their latest jam.

The trailer also underlines that those who pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 digitally will get early access to the campaign. Specifically, they’ll be able to play from October 16th, versus October 22nd for everyone else. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
