Cramped is an unhinged FPS where you view the action from inside your mouth

Between Steam, Itch.io and other marketplaces, there are plenty of strange games out there. However, Cramped, an upcoming PC game from co-developers Luna Garcin, Noé Bistolfi and Rosynn, may just take the cake.

Described as a “short, disturbing first-person experience,” this FPS has you taking on (literally) pig-headed policemen, as you roam across a concrete landscape that looks like it wouldn’t be out of place in Control. The twist? You’re viewing the action from inside your own mouth.

Remember the dentist’s chair scenes in Little Shop of Horrors and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? That’s your perspective for the whole of Cramped, the world framed by your teeth. Said teeth also serve as a health meter, so you’re in no doubt as to when you’re in trouble.

If that wasn’t strange enough, you regain health by chomping on the corpses of your foes, assuming you haven’t shoved or shot them into the abyss that lies beneath the concrete structure. As you can tell from the below trailer, there’s a platforming element too, made all the trickier by your bizarre viewpoint.

This appealingly strange game doesn’t currently have a release date, but you can wishlist Cramped on Steam. Sheep Seeker, another game co-developed by Garcin, is currently 90% off on Steam, and while there’s a lack of choppers, it looks to be just as strange.
