Dinosaur horror Welcome to Sunnybrook launches this Autumn on Steam

Capcom still hasn’t announced a new Dino Crisis game yet, so I’ll continue to hope that games from other developers can scratch my dinosaur horror itch. The latest that gives me hope is Welcome to Sunnybrook, which has quite an intriguing premise. This is a game that casts you as a burglar, with your target being the titular Sunnybrook, an idyllic location where its affluent residents go for a bit of peace.

That peace is about to be ruined, though, not only by your efforts to steal as many valuables as you can from them, but also the rather sudden appearance of dinosaurs. While exploring Sunnybrook, then, sneaking into homes, cracking safes and doing other things that a thief would do, you’ll also need to avoid the attention of prehistoric animals. After all, what exactly can you do to defend yourself from them?

A single-player game, the description of Welcome to Sunnybrook doesn’t a give a great deal away. Is it a story driven game, or is it more of a roguelike, with the goal being to see how much you can steal before you escape? Either way, it should hopefully be a fun time.

The developers of Welcome to Sunnybrook, Breaking Dimensions and Polygon Dust, have previously released two more dinosaur themed horror games – Oakwood and Rip Current – which are both rated very positively on Steam. Hopefully that should mean the game is in good hands. Check out the teaser trailer below.
