God of War Laufey pre-orders open tomorrow, 29th September

The next entry in the God of War saga is now mere months away, with God of War Laufey launching 16th February 2027 exclusively on PS5. And from tomorrow, 29th September, you’ll finally be able to pre-order the title, with multiple versions available.

For those that like their games physical, a boxed copy of the standard edition of God of War Laufey will be available alongside the digital edition. If you want something a little fancier, though, a digital deluxe edition will also be available.

The digital deluxe edition of God of War Laufey includes the base game as well as a Dark Alchemy armor set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scales, Dark Alchemy Catalyst, in-game resource pack, digital mini artbook and official God of War Laufey digital soundtrack.

There’s a bonus for pre-ordering either version of God of War Laufey, too. All pre-orders include the Last Wish armor set, the Golden Leaves cosmetic appearance for Phranque, and an in-game resource pack.

In addition to the news that pre-orders for God of War Laufey will soon be going live, Santa Monica Studio has also revealed some new details about the game. The main reveal is one of the weapons available to Laufey: the Serpent Bow. This enchanted bow with the shifting form of a serpent can go from dormant to notched at lightning speed, allowing you to use it alongside your other attacks.

Two aiming modes will be available, allowing you to precisely aim or let off a quick volley of shots, while various arrow types will switch up your playstyle and capitalise on openings. Throw in equipable Scales that will change the look of the Serpent Bow as well as its capabilities, and numerous skills to unlock for the Serpent Bow itself, and the combat of God of war Laufey should be as exciting as ever.
